What is our History?

In the 1960s, at the same time the Bournville council estate was being planned, local people bought the land on Chaucer Road so that a church could be built for the benefit of the local community.

Even before the building was finished there was a large Sunday School meeting at Bournville Primary School. The building was finally opened on May 10th 1957, the Sunday School moved across to 'Bethesda' and flourished during the 1950's and 60's. Other events were held regularly for older people, Parent and Toddler groups, as well as the usual Sunday and Weekday services.

60 years on and the building is still in regular use with much happening.
